Prince 10 Receives “Common Ground” Award from Metropolitan Pima Alliance
Prince 10 was recently honored with a Common Ground award from the Metropolitan Pima Alliance. This prestigious recognition celebrates community leaders, projects, programs, and events that have made meaningful strides in bridging divides and addressing complex challenges through creative and collaborative solutions.
From the official announcement:
The Prince 10 project stands out for its visionary approach to transforming Tucson’s western gateway into a vibrant hub of commerce, culture, and community connectivity. Strategically located between Interstate 10 and the Santa Cruz River, the 110-acre site features high-tech employment spaces, multi-story office buildings, and integrated public areas.
Despite facing numerous challenges—including complex regulatory hurdles, securing funding, and balancing environmental preservation with infrastructure needs—the project successfully forged ahead through an unprecedented level of collaboration between public and private partners.
Key contributors included the City of Tucson, Pima County, Tucson Water, KE&G Construction, and the Tucson Fire Department. Prince 10 is designed as a true destination, with zoning for 12-story buildings, multimodal transportation access, and a cutting-edge fiber optic network to attract technology-focused industries.
Additional community-oriented features include public art installations, EV charging stations, and a Culinary Bike Plaza—positioning the development as a model for modern, integrated urban design. The project is expected to generate high-tech job opportunities, encourage local investment, and revitalize an underutilized corridor, setting a new benchmark for urban development in Tucson.
